Inner Daemons

Human beings don´t stop to amaze me (but not in the best way, I must admit), specially when I realize that many of us simply don´t show any trace of respect or “fair behavior” with each other… I deeply hate the people that, for example, park their cars using two or more (!) parking places. Parking is getting more and more difficult here in Europe these days, (I´m starting to believe that buying a car is the people´s ultimate goal in their lives, or something), and those morons only think in themselves. It does not represent an extra effort to spend a little more time parking in the appropriate way, just to allow other persons to have a suitable place for their cars, too… But when I´m about to act and try to cope with this, I find projects like the Guedelon Castle that reminds me about that not everyone in this planet behaves badly…

I´ve just read that there´s an “interesting” paradox regarding big companies: every year they report almost always about having record earnings, but you keep hearing that there are and will be massive layoffs. How can this be possible? Yes, I know, this is the way of the capitalist economy we live in, but this means that more people will lose their jobs, and more important, those proud owners will get even richer… And yes, there are people still dying in 3rd. world countries…

I´m the proud owner of an Apple iBook notebook. I´m quite happy with it, but at the same time I´m tempted to change it for one of the new breed of Powerbooks, since they have reduced their price in a very interesting way. This can sound a little dumb, but I need more power for my applications (Reason, Photoshop, etc.) and I don´t want to spend US$ 2500 in a G5 dual processor computer (It could be really nice, but money is always an issue). My main problem? I live in a spanish-speaking country and my iBook has an english keyboard layout. I´m going to offer it through eBay to see what happens. The worst case scenario would be to have two laptops, and using only one… I´m confident that someone will help me out.
